Introducing the 'Timeless Memories' collection
Nearly 15 months after the launch of our debut collection, we are delighted to launch our highly anticipated second collection, Timeless Memories.
Joining our core collection on site, ‘Timeless Memories’ features 6 new designs and a kaleidoscope of new colour options, including champagne gold, tulip red and jade green, designed to complement a broader spectrum of skin tones.
After our first year in business, Nola has evolved and developed in tandem with you and your needs. The new collection offers more choice and versatility to cater to each and every special occasion in your life.
For the modern bride, bridesmaids, wedding guests, black-tie attendees and girls heading to prom, we have dreamt up classic, timeless designs that allow you to re-style and re-wear your pieces time and time again - a continuation of the brand’s mission to challenge the one-wear mindset of occasionwear.
A sustainable approach has remained at the heart of our business strategy. In addition to encouraging a ‘buy now, love forever’ mindset, the new collection upholds our evolving sustainability standards. Each dress is made in a small London atelier using Ecovero – a fabric with fibres derived from sustainable and certified renewable wood and pulp sources which meet the EU Ecolabel’s highest environmental standards throughout its lifecycle, from extraction through to production and disposal. Product linings are made from a bamboo and Ecovero mix, zips are made using recycled plastics and all garment labels are made in Pembrokeshire from recycled polyester. All products are made in small batches to ensure no overproduction or waste, and any excess fabric is reimagined into the brand’s accessories range, comprising of coordinating hair bows which make for the ultimate finishing touch to a Nola look.
We've also focussed on fit. The new collection features full and midi length dresses, as well as skirt and top combinations for those seeking a more versatile and modern look. Available in sizes 6-18 with the option to add length if you’re tall, we have designed the new collection with the help of you, the Nola community, taking note throughout the last year in customer appointments, listening to everything from style preferences to fit concerns. The result is a collection that celebrates more shapes and sizes, ensuring that everyone feels confident in a Nola outfit.
An example of feedback becoming reality can be seen in one of our new styles, Xanthe. Designed not just for a size 8 model, but also for the girls with height, boobs or curves, Xanthe is a bias-cut, full length, high neck dress that contours the collarbone and bust. The waist skims the body, celebrating hips and highlighting the wearer in all the right places, with added floaty sleeves for those that seek more arm coverage.
The new collection also introduces top and skirt separates as the occasionwear solution for women who wear different sizes on the top and bottom half. Allowing you to mix and match to find the perfect fit, the separates also become versatile options to dress up and dress down as wardrobe essentials.
As well as new designs, we have also made developments to existing styles to improve on fit and feel. The Rae Wrap Dress has always been a favourite for girls with a small to medium sized bust, but previously wasn’t optimised for someone with a larger chest. This summer, the design has been evolved to have increased material at the front, giving girls with all bust sizes the right coverage whilst maintaining the beautiful silhouette and cut of the dress.
And this time, there's something for the brides too...As part of the ‘Timeless Memories’ collection, we have created new designs in the best-selling Oyster Grey colourway – an off white, pearly tone, deliberately dreamt up for the influx of modern brides seeking well made, sustainable dresses for their big day under £350.
In the last 12 months, we have seen nearly 50% of all appointments be for brides who seek simplicity, and who are avoiding the traditional bright white and cream colourways. The expansion into more bridal options means that we can truly become a one-stop-shop for bridal and bridesmaid looks, aiming to make your life easier.
